Arthritis Classes Offered in ‘Joint Efforts’ Program
Arthritis sufferers can learn mild exercises and relaxation techniques at several free classes throughout Orange County as part of an Arthritis Foundation program called Joint Efforts.
The classes, offered mostly in the south county area, will begin in early September. They may be joined at any time by simply being present at class time.
Faye Krooth, a program instructor, said the classes include mild exercises performed to music while seated, relaxation skills and information about protection of arthritic joints. The goal of the hourlong programs, she said, is to reduce pain and tension while improving performance, muscle strength and overall endurance.
