About 1,900 Southern California Edison Co. customers in the Westlake Village area were left without power for 2 1/2 hours Thursday afternoon.

Carol Larson, Edison’s area manager, said a failure in an underground cable probably caused the power outage. She said the interruption began about 12:28 p.m. and that electricity to all but 50 customers had been restored by 3 p.m.
