Student Wins Scholarship

Mark Thunder, a civil-engineering major at San Diego State University, has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship by Associated General Contractors of America’s Education and Research Foundation.

The presentation to the senior from El Cajon was made by Gary Dennis, president of the association’s San Diego chapter. Thunder, who has worked part time in the estimating department of Daley Corp. since 1984, maintained a 3.89 grade point average.
