Former Marathon Greats in Oxnard

Bill Rodgers, four-time Boston Marathon winner, and Frank Shorter, Olympic marathon winner in 1972, head the field for the third annual Jones Intercable 10K Saturday at Oxnard.
The race will start at Whale’s Tail in the Channel Island Marina at 8:20 a.m. A 5K begins at 8 a.m.
The race, which benefits Special Olympics, is the culminating event of Jones Intercable’s Summer Times Family Festival.
