ATV Systems Inc. More Than Doubles Earnings

ATV Systems Inc., a Santa Ana-based manufacturer of computerized inventory, pricing and taxing systems for restaurants, earned $176,000 in its first fiscal quarter ended June 30, more than double the $86,000 in earnings it posted a year ago.
The rise in first quarter earnings was credited to actions the company took last year to reduce its size by about two-thirds by selling off less profitable enterprises, including its office information systems, computer leasing and repair and maintenance businesses.
ATV’s revenues for the quarter were $3.8 million, down 70% from $12.58 million in the first quarter of fiscal 1984.
