Capital Cities will sell a Connecticut TV station.
The proposed sale of WTNH-TV of New Haven, Conn., to Cook Inlet Communications for $170 million was sparked by the pending merger of American Broadcasting Cos. and the New York-based media conglomerate. Because of the merger, ABC and Capital Cities are required to comply with certain Federal Communications Commission rules governing multiple ownership of television stations. The sale is subject to FCC approval.
