Local News in Brief : 2 Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Crash
A head-on crash in Encino Hills early Sunday left two Northridge men dead and two Encino residents injured, police said.
Two 21-year-old men, David Han and Robert Lee, died at the scene in the 3600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, Los Angeles police Officer John Coddington said.
The people in the other vehicle, Michael Glick, 51, and Gail Glick, 49, had to be freed from their car by firefighters, Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said. Both were taken to UCLA Medical Center, where Gail Glick was treated and released. Michael Glick was in good condition Sunday afternoon with a broken nose and broken knee, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Police Sgt. Joe Cross said the men who died were driving north on Sepulveda at 12:45 a.m. Sunday when their Toyota car crossed the double yellow line and struck the Glicks’ Jaguar SJ-6, which was headed south on Sepulveda. Witnesses told police that the Toyota was traveling about 80 m.p.h. at the time of the crash, Coddington said.
