Building Permits for June Ahead of May
Construction activity in areas served by the Los Angeles County Building and Safety Division in June was valued at $123,614,800.
For the county’s unincorpoated areas and 26 cities served by the division, 2,689 permits were issued during the month, a gain of 89 permits over May. In June, 1984, 2,657 permits valued at $136,498,210 were issued.
Sixteen permits were issued last month which exceeded $500,000 in valuations; 13 of these were for industrial and commercial buildings and the remainder for a variety of uses. The largest permit, valued at $2.9 million, was for a retail store in Duarte.
