Disaster Aid Center to Open Tuesday
A Disaster Assistance Center for victims of the Normal Heights fire will open Tuesday at John Adams Elementary School, 4672 35th St. President Reagan has declared Normal Heights a disaster area, making available federal funds to help the fire victims.
The center will be open through next Saturday. Fire victims can meet with representatives from all local, state and federal agencies that have disaster aid available. Victims can apply for assistance if they are uninsured or underinsured, for low-interest Small Business Administration loans, and for temporary shelter and unemployment relief.
