Media Coverage of Terrorists
I happened to be in Russia during the opening days of the hostage episode. To the best of my knowledge, not a word appeared on the TV or radio about the event. I believe we tourists learned about it from a short-wave broadcast.
Then I came home to this sickening media TV circus in the States, on all our stations, endlessly, endlessly.
I wonder who was worse off--the Russians who didn’t hear, or we who had to be submerged in the nauseating Niagara of words and pictures?
