Knott’s Berry Farm Foods has moved into a new $12-million headquarters and processing plant in Placentia, marking the first time in 63 years that berries and other products are being processed outside Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park.
Anchoring a site known as the Knott Business Park, the 250,000-square-foot complex occupies 11 acres of a 20-acre site at 200 Boysenberry Lane, between Orangethorpe and Crowther avenues near the Orange (57) Freeway.
Designed in an “Early California farm motif” by Coleman/Caskey of Irvine, the facility was constructed by Oltmans Construction Co., Whittier. The new plant replaces several outmoded buildings at the farm, according to Don Oliphant of Knott’s.
