Tile Facade Falls, Trapping 28

A 100-foot-long tile facade on a row of Sherman Oaks shops in the 1300 block of West Moorpark Street crashed down onto the sidewalk this morning, injuring one woman and trapping 28 people inside stores, Fire Department officials said.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Sherman Oaks Community Hospital with minor injuries. Shoppers and storekeepers were freed after firemen cleared away debris. Cause of the incident is under investigation.
