New Brochure Describes All California State Parks
- Share via
With summer here, the lure of beaches or mountains or wilderness solitudes is strong in the minds of thousands of vacationers.
The California state park system has more than 250 recreation and camping sites where the itch to get away can be eased. The Department of Parks and Recreation has issued a new pamphlet, complete with map, showing locations and routes to all of them.
Jerry Spansail, supervising ranger at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, said all parks are expecting heavy attendance this summer, and cautioned that reservations should be made well in advance, which can be done for most campsites through California Ticketron computer outlets.
Copies of the brochure and color map can be picked up at the parks or by mailing $2--which covers tax and return mail--to the Publications Section, Department of Parks and Recreation, P.O. Box 2390, Sacramento, Calif. 95811.
