The casualty toll from a rightist guerrilla attack on a civilian convoy in southern Mozambique rose to 40 dead and 95 wounded, the official news agency AIM said. The Mozambique National Resistance guerrillas machine-gunned the convoy of about 100 vehicles Saturday at Patequei, about 30 miles north of Maputo, survivors said.
