Warburg, Pincus Capital Partners agreed to pump $6 million into San Diego-based Cousins Home Furnishings, which sells furniture and home furnishings in 21 stores in California under the Brick Warehouse name. The agreement in principle, to be completed in mid-July, also calls for an additional investment of between $1 million and $2 million by Brunton Corp., Cousins’ major shareholder. In exchange for its investment, Warburg, Pincus will receive convertible subordinated notes and warrants to purchase Cousins stock.
