Work Starts on Golf Course at Orange County Development
Work has begun at Cota de Caza on an $2.5-million, 18-hole golf course--the first championship-length course to be built in Orange County in 20 years.
The course, expected to be ready for play in the fall of 1986, will be 7,230 yards in length, one of the longest in the state. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Cota de Caza, site of the 1984 Olympic Games’ modern pentathlon, is a 5,000-acre resort community master planned as a residential and recreational development of Disney Development Co. and Chevron Land & Development Co.
