Sixty-three suspected illegal aliens were arrested Thursday at a Sun Valley motor home manufacturing plant as part of a 4-day-old operation by federal immigration authorities throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties.
Agents from the Immigration and Naturalization Service arrested the workers at Vogue Coach Corp. at 11680 Tuxford St., United Press International reported. An INS spokesman said all those who were unable to show proof of U.S. citizenship were arrested.
The workers, most from Mexico and Central America, have a choice of voluntary deportation or a hearing, the spokesman said.
The Los Angeles and Orange county sweeps have captured nearly 800 alleged illegal aliens since Monday, including 108 who were rounded up at a bedspread factory in central Los Angeles, Manny Industries, at 212 N. Vignes St.
