A bomb blast about 5 a.m. Wednesday rattled windows, woke up residents in a residential neighborhood in north Clairemont, and damaged a pickup truck, said Ron Davis, a Fire Department spokesman.

The truck, parked on the 4000 block of Caminito Cuarzo, sustained moderate damage from the blast that was apparently caused from a small bomb planted near it, Davis said. No one was injured. The Metro Arson Strike Team is investigating.
