A Ventura County high school basketball star was sentenced to 70 years in prison on 23 counts of using guns, knives and hammers to commit a series of sex crimes dating to July, 1983, against women in Oxnard. Sean Miller, now 18, was only 17 and a member of the Hueneme High School varsity basketball team when he was tried and convicted as an adult. He will be confined by the California Youth Authority until he is 25, and then will be transferred to an adult prison to complete his sentence.
