Home Sales in San Diego Gain
The 10,487 sales of new and existing houses in San Diego County in the first quarter of 1985 was 3% above the 10,179 for the same period last year, according to Safeco Title Insurance Co.
There were 7,149 resales and 3,338 sales of new subdivision homes, according to Denis V. Rottler, San Diego division manager for Safeco.
“All statistics we compile show that 1985 will be as good as 1984,†he added. “If there are no upward glitches in the steady interest rates the industry has enjoyed over the last several months, 1985 may be an even better year than 1984.â€
