Prep Tennis : Magnolia Blanks Artesia in Tennis

Magnolia High School, led by No. 1 singles player Tony McArren, defeated Artesia on Friday, 28-0, in a Southern Section 2-A wild card tennis match at Magnolia.
McArren won four sets without a loss as the Sentinels, who finished third in the Orange League, improved their record to 14-7. Magnolia will play Diamond Bar, the second-seeded team in the 2-A division, in the first round of the playoffs Tuesday at Diamond Bar.
Mission Viejo 17 1/2, Servite 10 1/2--No. 1 singles player Brad Mosley swept all four of his matches to lead the Diablos over the Friars and into the first round of the Southern Section playoffs. Mission Viejo will play Fullerton, champions of the Freeway League, Tuesday at Fullerton.
