Three people were arrested Wednesday night in connection with the April 17 beating death of Chester Gleason, 37, whom police found on a lawn in the 2200 block of 8th Avenue.
Gleason was taken to a hospital and died there a few days later.
San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said an extensive investigation by homicide detectives led to the arrest of David Floyd Graham, 24, a painter, of the 1700 block of 5th Avenue; Marijane Elaine Savodldelli, an unemployed apartment manager, also of the 1700 block of 5th Avenue, and James Joseph Mock, 28, an unemployed clothing store manager, address unknown.
They were booked into County Jail on suspicion of murder. Robinson said Gleason’s death was the result of an argument and fight over the theft of a cigarette lighter.
