Man Indicted After Two Young Nephews Swallow LSD Tablets

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. — A 43-year-old man was indicted Thursday for being criminally responsible for his two nephews swallowing 89 LSD tablets.
A six-count indictment accused Emil Wander, 43, of reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a hallucinogenic drug (LSD), endangering the welfare of children and simple assault. He was being held in the county jail without bail pending arraignment Monday.
Wander’s two nephews, Michael Walsh, 2, and his brother, Robert Walsh Jr., 3, were rendered unconscious by the pills they found on a coffee table. They were released Tuesday from the University Hospital in Stony Brook.
