Suspect Arrested in Shooting of Eight

SACRAMENTO — Police Thursday arrested a suspect in the shotgun attack that wounded eight people who were in a downtown park.
None of the victims was seriously hurt in the incident near the state Capitol on Wednesday.
Arrested on six counts of attempted murder was Eric Bright, 33. Police said a 12-gauge shotgun and shell casings were found at Bright’s house.
“The motive is open to speculation,†Sgt. Bob Burns said.
