Estancia Beats Corona del Mar in Sixth
Dave Caballero came off the bench to hit the game-winning single and give Estancia High School a 3-2 win over Corona del Mar in a Sea View League baseball game Monday at Estancia.
The Eagles were down, 2-1, in the sixth inning with two out when Dave Ursini walked then stole second. Jim Foley doubled in the tying run and scored the winning run on Caballero’s base hit.
Foley (8-1) went the distance, striking out eight and walking five while allowing three hits. The Eagles are 7-3 in league, 14-8 overall while the Sea Kings are 2-8 in the league and 3-14 overall.
