Land interests plan to sell 8.3% of Polaroid stock
About 2.56 million shares worth $65 million will be sold by Edwin M. Land, his wife, and two nonprofit organizations founded by the family, the Rowland Foundation and the Rowland Institute for Science. Proceeds will go to the Rowland Institute, a 5-year-old organization set up to further scientific research. The shares represent all Polaroid holdings of the Land, 75, and his wife.
