USC ESTABLISHES BLACKER FUND

USC has established the Irwin R. Blacker Writing Scholarship Fund for students in the school of cinema-television.

Blacker, who chaired graduate studies in cinema for nearly a decade, died in February. He had 22 works published, ranging from scripts for such shows as “Bonanza†to novels.

Those wishing to contribute should write to Robert Jenkins, USC School of Cinema-Television, University Park, Los Angeles, 90089-2211.
