The night assistant manager of a Taco Bell restaurant in Tarzana was shot and killed early Sunday by an assailant who was being sought late Sunday, police said.

The victim, Everett Moore, 25, of Van Nuys, was cleaning the restaurant with another employee shortly after 3 a.m. when a man entered the restaurant and shot Moore during an apparent robbery attempt, police said.

Moore had worked at the Taco Bell at 19439 Ventura Blvd. for about a year, police said.

Police would not release additional details about the shooting. The suspect is about 5-foot-10, thin and has a full beard, police said.
