The Region : Girl Falls Out of Car During Row, Dies
A 2-year-old girl was killed when she was accidently pushed out of a car on the Long Beach Freeway in Lynwood during a fight between her parents. After tumbling onto the freeway, Alicia Cordova was struck by a second car that fled the scene, Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Adams said. She was taken to Downey Community Hospital but died a short time later. Adams said the child was sitting by the door on the passenger side when her parents, Jose, 24, and Alice, 25, began arguing. Witnesses told homicide investigators that the father pushed his wife, knocking the baby out the door, Adams said. Deputies were looking for the second car, which sped away after the accident. No charges have been filed in the incident, he said.
