Three Malibu men were sentenced to federal prison terms for smuggling $8 million worth of hashish into Washington state by hiding the contraband in fake Mercedes-Benz engine mounts. In a Seattle hearing, U.S. District Judge John Coughenour sentenced Nolan E. Brewer, 40, to seven years in prison and ordered him to pay a $50,000 fine. John W. Roberts, 38, and Ronald D. Normandeau, 37, were sentenced to five years in prison and fines of $15,000 and $25,000 respectively. The men were arrested at an Issaquah, Wash., mini-storage area last October as they unpacked more than 1,000 fake motor mounts containing 1,200 pounds of Indian hashish.
