TAIPEI, Taiwan — A dog may be man’s best friend, but farmer Liu Ming-hui’s pal is a pig.
Liu was carrying his best stud pig on a three-wheeled cycle on the way to a client Wednesday when he was hit by a car and knocked unconscious about half a mile from his home, police said today.
Liu carried no identification papers and the car driver had difficulty finding help.
Meanwhile, the pig went home.
Liu’s wife locked the pig in a sty, but the animal broke out and ran, with the farmer’s wife in pursuit, back to the highway where Liu lay injured.
Police said Liu was in satisfactory condition at a hospital today, and his rescuer was living high on the hog.
