CINCINNATI — The 62nd United States Amateur Public Links Championship in 1987 will be played at Glenview Golf Course, the U.S. Golf Assn. has announced.
The tournament, inaugurated in 1922, will be played July 13-18 over Glenview, considered one of the top 75 public golf courses in the nation. Glenview opened as a nine-hole facility in 1974 and was expanded to 18 holes two years later.
This year’s championship will be played at the Wailua Golf Course in Hawaii July 15-20. In 1986, the event is scheduled for Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, N.C., July 14-19.
