Two city blocks of a Santa Ana residential neighborhood were temporarily evacuated to allow Fire Department workers to remove chlorine that had spilled from a truck, a department spokesman said. Spokesman Jim Yoshida said the evacuation was merely a “precautionary measure” after a fractured drum leaked the chlorine at the corner of Raitt and West Willet streets at 2:15 p.m. He said the spill was cleaned up quickly and no one was injured.
