A Jet America DC-9 made two emergency landings after a ground maintenance crew apparently failed to correct a problem in which the nose wheel would not retract, O’Hare International Airport police said. Flight 121, bound for Long Beach, Calif., and carrying 136 passengers and crew members, made its landings at the Chicago airport after circling over Lake Michigan. Passengers continued their flight on another plane.
