Saddleback Beats OCC in Swim Meet

Rhett Cheeping won two events Friday to lead the Saddleback College men’s swim team to 67-38 South Coast Conference victory over Orange Coast at Mission Viejo.

Cheeping won the 200-yard freestyle and 200 butterfly events as the first-place Gauchos improved their conference record to 6-0.

In women’s action, Orange Coast, led by Sheri Carpenter, defeated Saddleback, 77-53. Carpenter won the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke for the Pirates (6-0).
