Softball Roundup : Fresquez Pitches Perfect Game to Lead Hornets

Lisa Fresquez pitched a perfect game Friday to lead the Fullerton College softball team to a 5-0 South Coast Conference win over Mt. San Antonio at Walnut.
Fresquez, a sophomore right-hander, stuck out eight as the first-place Hornets improved their conference record to 5-0 and 17-2 overall.
Rose Muckenthaler and Debbie Ness led the Fullerton offense by combining for four hits and two RBIs.
In other South Coast Conference action:
Santa Ana 5, Cerritos 3 (eight innings)--Winning pitcher Alani Silva drove in Sam Arledge with a single in the top of the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie and lead the Dons (3-1, 19-4) past the Falcons. Silva, who pitched a complete game, went 3 for 3 at the plate, scored three runs, drove in two and had two stolen bases, including a steal of home in the sixth inning.
In the Hawaii Invitational Tournament:
Cal State Fullerton 2, UC Santa Barbara 0--Susan Lefebvre pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out seven to lead the No. 1-ranked Titans (27-4) past the Gauchos in a first-round game at the University of Hawaii. Fullerton plays the University of the Pacific in a second-round game today.
