Pretensor Wins Santa Anita Feature

Pretensor, ridden by Sandy Hawley, took the lead out of the gate and went on to score a1-length victory in the $66,500 Bolsa Chica Stakes Wednesday at Santa Anita before a crowd of 23,327.

Pretensor ran the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09 1/5 to defeat seven rivals and win the $39,500 winner’s purse.

Sent off as the 5-to-1 third choice, Pretensor paid $12.80, $6.80 and $4.20. Colt Forty Five was second, returning $5.80 and $4.20. Relaunch A Tune was third, returning $3.40.
