2 Die When Plane Hits Building

OCEANSIDE — A small airplane trying to take off at Oceanside Municipal Airport slammed into a nearby building today, killing at least two people, officials said.
The plane crashed into an industrial complex on Airport Road shortly after 11 a.m. and exploded inside the building. Two people were reported dead aboard the aircraft, but there apparently were no fatalities inside the building. A fire touched off by the explosion was controlled in about 20 minutes.
