USD Women Roll Past UCSD, 81-49

SAN DIEGO — The USD women’s basketball team evened its record at 12-12 by coasting to an 81-49 victory over host UCSD Friday night.
Debbie Theroux, who finished with 14 points, helped the Toreras jump out to a 10-0 lead and 42-22 halftime lead. After the initial spurt by USD, the Tritons (8-11) could never ger closer than nine points.
USD’s Karen Skemp and Mary Godfrey had 10 points each. Bambi Brunning had 10 rebounds and 6 points.
UCSD was led by Julie Krause, who scored a game-high 22 points.
