A Placentia man was killed Wednesday in that city when his motorcycle hit the rear of an auto, police said.
Rudolph Palacios, 37, died at Placentia-Linda Community Hospital shortly after the 12:39 p.m. accident, according to police.
Palacios was riding south on Rose Drive when he collided with a car in front of him that had slowed to make a left turn onto Pine Street, police said.
The driver of the car, Elysee Pratt of Bellflower, was hospitalized with neck and back injuries.
The accident was under investigation late Wednesday night.
