Lucky will sell 17 Chicago-area Eagle stores.
The Dublin, Calif., company’s Midwestern food division is offering the food stores for sale but is planning to invest more than $100 million over the next five years to develop new locations and to remodel and expand existing stores. Lucky Stores said it plans to continue to operate 111 stores in Illinois, eastern Iowa and western Indiana with support facilities in Milan and Rock Island, Ill., and Westville, Ind.
