Robert F. Kennedy Medical Center here is observing American Heart Month by opening its newly remodeled medical intensive and coronary care units, which have been refurbished as part of an overall modernization of the hospital. There will be an open house today from 4 to 6 p.m. in the coronary care lounge on the first floor of the hospital, 4500 West 116th St.
According to the hospital, the units have been redesigned to provide five individual patient rooms in shades of blue, mauve, burgundy and peach. New heart monitoring and stabilization systems have been installed.
