Australian Merchandise Exports Fall in December

SYDNEY, Australia — Australian merchandise exports fell 19% to $1.47 billion in December from $1.83 billion in November, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported.
Among the contributors to the monthly decrease were declines in exports of coal, cereal and sugar, the bureau said.
