Louisville, Colo.-based Storage Technology said it is shutting down its optical disk division in Longmont, Colo., firing 60 workers and transferring 80 more to other jobs in the company . . . Dart & Kraft, Northbrook, Ill., said its directors approved a 3-for-1 stock split to be effective May 17 if it is approved by shareholders at the company’s May 2 annual meeting . . . Nike Inc., Beaverton, Ore., reported that it laid off 400 workers in 1984.
