Santa Ana Heights Development Plan
Regarding the Orange County Planning Commission’s plans for Santa Ana Heights (Orange County section, Jan 5):
Where is the justice in this bureaucracy’s telling longtime residents of the area who love where they live that they must leave (regardless of promised compensation--where could they find conditions similar within the state?)?
In many cases, as this plan manifests itself, big money developers will be building multiunit apartments (yes--family dwellings!) on land from which these present residents are to be evicted. Can one see the right, justice or logic of this?
Objectively, one can assume that these condemnations are not in the interests for the common good, but obviously for the developers who have the members of the Planning Commission in their pockets.
