Sparks Set Home Afire
Sparks from a fireplace that landed on a roof were blamed for a blaze that caused an estimated $40,000 damage to an East Washington Avenue house in Santa Ana Friday night, fire officials reported.
The couple who occupy the house in the 1500 block were routed by the flames but there were no injuries, Santa Ana Fire Department Battalion Chief Jim Dalton said.
