Cosmonauts on the Salyut 7 space station have conducted extensive military operations in support of Soviet ground, sea and air exercises, Aviation Week and Space Technology reported. It said last week’s U.S. military space shuttle mission may have involved some astronaut coordination with U.S. ground units, as well as the reported launching of a spy satellite.
