Anti-Semitic Incidents Rose in U. S. During ’84

NEW YORK — The number of incidents of anti-Semitic vandalism reported nationwide increased last year after two years of decline, the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith said Wednesday.
The survey by the league’s 30 offices found 715 instances of such vandalism in 1984, an increase of about 6% over the 1983 total of 670. The number of assaults, threats and harassments directed against individual Jews increased from 350 to 369 in 1984, the group said.
