Baseball: Manhattan Beach reaches Little League Junior World Series

Manhattan Beach went undefeated in the West Regional and has advanced to the Little League Junior World Series in Taylor, Mich., after defeating Hawaii’s state champion, 1-0, on Wednesday.
Tommy Bothwell threw six scoreless innings and got relief help from Jackson Michalski. Zack Chan drove in the game’s only run with a two-out single in the first.
The World Series begins on Sunday.
