Boys’ basketball: Top teams set for St. John Bosco summer tourney

Bellflower St. John Bosco has put together a new summer basketball tournament that’s as good as it gets in Southern California. It’s set for July 2-3-5-6-7 at St. John Bosco, Compton Dominguez and Compton Centennial, with the championship game at 3 p.m. on July 7 at St. John Bosco.

Pool A: St. John Bosco, Beverly Hills, Palmdale, Sylmar.

Pool B: Mater Dei, Calabasas, Providence, Highland.

Pool C: Westchester, Cantwell-Sacred Heart, Santa Margarita, La Salle.

Pool D: Pasadena, Orange Lutheran, Dominguez, Venice.

Pool E: Gardena Serra, Fairfax, Lawndale, Moorpark.

Pool F: Inglewood, Alemany, Thousand Oaks, Compton Centennial.

Pool G: Compton, Santa Monica, Taft, Servite.

Pool H: Bishop Montgomery, Windward, Cleveland, Salesian.
